* In 1960, Ferrari took a decidedly different approach when it unveiled a new “2+2” version of its vaunted 250 model at the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race. Badged the 250 GTE 2+2, this luxurious grand tourer featured a spacious cabin with a rear occasional seat. It is noteworthy for being the first four-seater Ferrari manufactured on a large scale. It was powered by the company’s new “Tipo 128F” 3.0-litre V-12 engine.
Production spanned 1960 to 1963, with an updated version launching every 12 months, here the names Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3 was created.
Chassis:4507 did roll off the production line in 1963, and therefore have the “label” Series 3.
