Badged the 250 GTE 2+2, this luxurious grand tourer featured a spacious cabin with a rear occasional seat. It is noteworthy for being the first four-seater Ferrari manufactured on a large scale. It was powered by the company’s new “Tipo 128F” 3.0-litre V-12 engine. Production spanned 1960 to 1963, with an updated version launching every 12 months, here the names Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3 was created. Chassis:4507 did roll off the production line in 1963, and therefore have the “label” Series 3.

It was delivered new to the Italian owner, painted in the elegant color of Grigio Agento, the cabin was upholstered in lavish Rossa Connolly leather. A limited amount of information exists about this car’s time in Italy. Later this Ferrari 250 GTE was exported to the USA, and had most of its life there… Erly 2019 the car went to it origin birthplace close to Maranello, Italy, to complete a 3 year complete nut n’ bolt restoration at Official Ferrari Service partner "AUTOFFICINA SAURO” . Chassis:4859 has been approved for the the coveted Ferrari Classiche “Red Book” certification. And the car retains its matching-numbers chassis, differential, and engine, while it is finished in the factory-correct colour scheme of Grigio Agento over a Pelle Rossa interior. Today, chassis:4859 presents a brilliant opportunity to acquire one of Ferrari’s most commercially successful grand tourers, with the benefit of Ferrari Classiche certification, and a beautiful colour scheme.
